Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh New Movie 2014? Karan Johar Talks About The Roles For His New Movie ‘Shuddhi’

There were previous rumors about Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh recreating their romance on screen in Karan Johar’s new movie “Shuddhi.” Now the director speaks up about the roles about his new movie.

Johar denied the reports of signing the “Ram Leela” co-stars for his new film, which initially have Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan as the leads, but later both of them walked out of the project.

“No they are not finalized,” said Johar to Zee news.

Johar refused to reveal further details aside from wanting to release the movie in 2015 and that the cast will be finalized soon.

The film got postponed due to Roshan’s health, however, later the actor surprised everyone by saying that he won’t be doing “Shuddhi.” Kapoor also backed out of the project since it was getting delayed.

In the mean time, Padukone and Singh are working on a new English/Konkani film, “Finding Fanny Fernandez,” which also features Arjun Kapoor.

“Ranveer has shot with Arjun, but most of his scenes are with Deepika.” said a source close to the film to Times of India. “Their crackling chemistry has to be believed. He was in Goa for just three days and the trip spent a lot of time shopping and sightseeing.”

Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah were reportedly also to star in the film.

Padukone has previously worked with the director in “Cocktail” which became one of her first successful films before generating hits like “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” and “Chennai Express.”

Many fans are curious to see how Singh and Padukone’s alleged off-screen romance will turn out on film and will we get to see signs that the two really are together?

Although Singh and Padukone have been rumored to be dating since neither have denied the rumors, they allegedly brought in the New Year together in New York.

The “Gunday” actor recently stalled his alleged relationship with the 28-year-old during a press conference for his new film.

The media continuously asked Singh about his reported relationship with Padukone, however, the actor preferred to focus on the upcoming release. While the actor tried to stay quiet, letting his co-star and director Ali Abbad do the talking on his behalf, the media wouldn’t stop.

Singh Eventually answered some questions on romance and said, “Love is truly in the air and I am in love with my team and releasing the film on the day of love. I am proud of my team.”

Despite the constant questions about his personal life, Singh insisted that they “focus on ‘Gunday.’”

“It is action drama film... YRF is producing it, starring Arjun, Priyanka and myself and is directed by Ali Abbas. It releases on February 14... Do come and watch it. Next question please,” said Singh.

The actor eventually lost his cool during the interview asking, “What is this happening, is this the ‘Gunday’ film press conference of my interrogation.”
