Anushka Sharma faced a lot of hate from cricket fans on social media yesterday. What was her giant sin, you ask? She was a spectator of the World Cup semi final between India and Australia in Sydney and fans think that she is the reason why Virat Kohli was out after making just one run. Hordes of insensitive fans attacked Anushka on social media which obviously upset the actress quite a bit.

A source reveals to us that Deepika Padukone was one of the first B-Towners to message Anushka and ask her if she was doing okay. In a text message Deepika told Anushka that Virat did his best and that she hopes that the two are alright. DP’s boyfriend Ranveer Singh also called Anushka to comfort her in her time of distress.

Deepika and Anushka‘s friendship has quickly become talk of the town. Their camaraderie was worth a watch recently when they met with the Censor Board. The Piku actress even gave Anushka a tight kiss and gave her the warmest hug. Looks like there is no animosity between Dippy and the NH10 actress over Ranveer.

The two have genuinely become each others well wishers and Deepika calling up Anushka to ask her how she is holding up after India’s defeat at the World Cup just proves that their friendship is for keeps!
