It is Deepika vs Kareena for Madhur Bhandarkar's next

Despite debuting several years after Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone has been her strongest contender when it comes to being considered for films in the recent past.

Some of the titles they've famously both been attached to include 'Ram Leela', 'Chennai Express', 'Shuddhi', 'Badtameez Di' , 'Race 2' and more recently 'Bajirao Mastani' and 'Singham 2'. Now it appears that both are in contention for a film with Madhur Bhandarkar.

Deccan Chronicle reports that Madhur has apparently approached Deepika and his 'Heroine' star Kareena Kapoor, with a script, but a call is yet to be taken on who will make the final cut.

It will be interesting to see which project this is, as Madhur already has 'Madamji' with Priyanka Chopra lined up and another project titled 'Calender Girl' which is expected to star 6 newcomers.
