Deepika Padukone's ramp walk with her fans

The idea was Deepika Padukone's and the opportunity was for the fans, where they could do the grand walk with their idol. This was for the launch of Deepika's clothing line with Van Heusen. The girls, who were randomly chosen by Deepika and her team, walked the ramp after going through a grooming session with none other than Deepika herself.
The lovely dress was designed by Deepika herself.
Said Deepika “I thought it would be interesting to pick girls who identify with the way I dress. We haven’t selected them on the basis of their looks, height or whether they are experienced models. It was a random pick from the entries we had. I will try to make it as memorable and special for them. I will spend time with them, chat and groom them so that they go back with great memories."
She further added “I have always been grateful to my fans and, in whatever little way, I have always tried to give back,” says Deepika.
