Wonder if Deepika Padukone knows why Ranveer Singh dropped his surname?

They are rumoured to be dating each other, but we are still unsure about whether Deepika Padukone knows the dark secrets of Ranveer Singh, one of them being the fact that his real name is Ranveer Singh Bhavnani. 

 

Ranveer's name dropping story might remind you of late actor, Dev Ananad, whose real name was Dharam Dev Pishorimal Anand and we are glad he changed it!

When asked about the reason for dropping 'Bhavnani' from his name, Ranveer said, "It's too long, too many syllables. 

Ranveer 'Singh' is short, crisp and can stay in your memory easily." 

"Ran-veer-Singh-Bhav-nani is too long. It's not a saleable commodity," he added.

Also, when probed about where the 'Singh' came from, he replied, "Dadaji is Sikh so that's how 'Singh' came."
