IIFA Awards 2014: Nominations announced, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Deepika Padukone stole the show!

Nominations for the 15th annual International Indian
 Film Academy (IIFA) Awards (popular category) have
been declared. The IIFA Weekend and Awards will make
 its debut in the United States this year as it will be held in
Tampa Bay, Florida from April 23-26, 2014.

The year 2013 was a great year for Indian cinema. Bollywood
 saw some amazing movies and heart-touching performances
by many actors and actresses. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag swept the
highest number of nominations at IIFA this year with the
 inspirational biopic nominated in 10 different categories.
Second to which are Goliyon Ki Rasleela- Ramleela
 and Aashiqui 2 with 7 nominations each.

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewaani was a close third with 6
 nominations, while other movies which include Krrish 3,
 Chennai Express, Kai Po Che and The Lunchbox
were nominated for various categories.

Deepika Padukone is the shining star of the year as
she grabbed 3 nominations in the category ‘Performance
in a Leading Role (Female)’ for her movies Chennai Express
, Goliyon Ki Rasleela- Ramleela and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewaani.

While for Performance in a Leading Role (Male),
Shah Rukh Khan (Chennai Express), Hrithik Roshan (Krrish 3)
, Ranbir Kapoor (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewaani),
Farhan Akhtar (Bhaag Milka Bhaag), Ranveer Singh
(Goliyon Ki Rasleela-Ramleela) and newcomer
 Sushant Singh Rajput (Kai Po Che) have been nominated.
